Once again TOXTALKS, the interactive clinical toxicology study day for nurses and other health professionals, was a huge success. We were delighted to receive such positive feedback from the participants.

We are delighted to announce that the newly updated TOXBASE App is now available FREE to all UK NHS health professionals.
For users outwith the UK, the App can be purchased for a small fee.
Following on from the success of the major clinical trial into the management of paracetamol poisoning in Edinburgh, we have introduced a shortened NAC regimen in our clinical unit. We are auditing the results very closely and we are hopeful that this may lead to major changes in the way we deal with this common medical admission.
The results of a recent major clinical trial in Edinburgh into the treatment of paracetamol poisoning were recently published in the Lancet and can be found here.
Following on from the success of the Case-Based Update on Severe Poisoning in 2013, we are planning another event later this year. Look out for the programme coming soon.
